SPEAKER: NICK DAVIS

Nick Davis, writer, director and producer talks to us about his current  biography “Competing with Idiots: Herman and Joe Mankiewicz, a Dual  Portrait.” A fascinating, complex dual biography of Hollywood’s most  dazzling, talented and famous brothers, with a dark, riveting portrait  of competition, love and enmity that ultimately undid them both. Herman  was famous for writing “Citizen Kane” with Orson Welles, and Joe for  writing “All about Eve”, with each writing the scripts of many other  noted films. Herman was the maternal grandfather of Nick Davis and the  book reflects a detailed knowledge of Hollywood personalities.
