Speaker: DONNA PALOMBA, A rape victim speaks. The Founder of Jane Doe No More, an organization devoted to prevent sexual violence against women, and helping women to avoid the retraumatization and revictimization she encountered with the police authorities and her community of Waterbury, Connecticut in 1993. By the time her attacker was caught 11 years later, by DNA evidence in another attack, the then applicable statute of limitations on rape had expired, and he could only be prosecuted for the kidnapping ancillary to the rape.
Entertainers: Cellist AMY RALSKE and Pianist MARK JANAS will perform the first movement from one of the finest, well-loved, and most passionate of Johannes Brahms' chamber music pieces, the Sonata in E minor for Violoncelllo and Piano, Op. 38. They will top it off with a short, delightful piece by French Baroque composer, organist and harpsichordist François Couperi
