DAVID LEOPOLD is an author and curator who has organized exhibitions for institutions around the country including the Library of Congress, the Field Museum in Chicago, the James A. Michener Art Museum, and the New York Public Library. Internationally, he has organized shows for museums including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Filmmuseum in Berlin. He has been the archivist of Al Hirschfeld’s work for 30 years, first for the artist himself, then for the non profit Al Hirschfeld Foundation, where he is now Creative Director. He has written extensively about twentieth century performance caricature. His latest book is IT'S PERSONAL: THE ART OF ROBERT BECK (Michener Art Museum, 2021), and he edited a companion book of essays by the artist, A THOUSAND WORDS: ESSAYS AND PAINTINGS BY ROBERT BECK (Michener Art Museum, 2020). Other books include THE HIRSCHFELD CENTURY: A PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST AND HIS AGE (Alfred A. Knopf, 2015), to coincide with the opening of an exhibition of the same name at the New York Historical Society. The Washington Post called it an “instant classic.” Amazon listed it as one of the “Top 100 Books of 2015.”; THE ART OF TONY AUTH (Camino Book, 2012), DRAWN TO LIFE (Historic Collection of New Orleans, 2011); DAVID LEVINE'S AMERICAN PRESIDENTS (Fantagraphics, 2008), IRVING BERLIN'S SHOW BUSINESS (Harry Abrams, 2005), which was listed as a “Top Gift Pick” by the Boston Globe and New York Times. For more than 25 years, Leopold was also the Picture Editor of the award-winning literary magazine, The Lincoln Center Theater Review. In September 2016, Leopold received the Joseph and Joan Cullman Award for Extraordinary Creativity from Lincoln Center. His articles have appeared in various publications including The New York Times and The International Herald Tribune. He served as consultant on the PBS series "Broadway: The American Musical" and the Oscar nominated documentary, "The Line King: The Al Hirschfeld Story." Specialties: Conceiving, organizing, and mounting exhibitions and installations for a variety of venues; establishing artist archives that generate increased recognition and revenue; identifying unusual images for a wide range of projects; providing content for websites and publications.
ERIC COMSTOCK & BARBARA FASANO are a dynamic New York-based jazz duo known for their compelling performances and impeccable musicianship. Comstock, a pianist and vocalist, has built a reputation for his inventive interpretations of the Great American Songbook. Fasano, a celebrated vocalist, brings a captivating blend of warmth, elegance, and storytelling to every performance. Together, they have performed at renowned venues such as Birdland and the Café Carlyle, and have earned praise for their seamless vocal and instrumental collaboration. Their chemistry, musical versatility, and deep appreciation for jazz and standards make them a standout duo in the contemporary jazz scene.
